Kate Chalmers is a proud and busy owner of a homestead in Portugal, where she has lived with her husband since 2020. Together, Kate and her husband have turned a barren olive grove into an abundant food forest and vegetable garden that is a haven for wildlife. She is passionate gardener who also has over 15 years of experience in the UK veterinary industry.  Her current menagerie of animals includes Doug the rescued spaniel, an ancient sun-worshipping cat, George, and an assortment of chickens of all shapes and sizes.
