When I first went vegan, one struggle I faced was finding vegan-friendly desserts. For months, my go-to treat was Oreo cookies since they are one of the few accessible vegan snacks at my local grocery store. Although I still struggle to get my hands on vegan desserts, when a craving hits or I need options for parties and events, Pinterest reminded me of one truth: I can just make them at home.
Yes, I’m talking all the classics from Rice Krispy Treats and Honey Buns to the always comforting chocolate chip cookies. If you’re looking for ideas on what to make for an upcoming potluck, dinner, or your own simple pleasure, give one of these vegan dessert recipes a go!
1. Vegan Cinnamon Quick Bread

3. Vegan Vanilla Mug Cake
Honestly, I’m always craving cupcakes. Unfortunately, most bakeries in my town don’t offer vegan options and, most of the time, I don’t have the energy to bake a whole batch just to satisfy my craving. This is why @makeitdairyfree’s Vegan Vanilla Mug Cake recipe has become one of my go-to’s. It’s quick, easy, and can be made with just seven ingredients and five minutes!

4. Vegan Honey Buns
Let’s face it, Honey Buns are a classic, but the originals are far from vegan-friendly. The good news is they can be recreated with substitutes like non-dairy milk and butter and vegan honey (or agave).
